Teams from Andor, Sinners, and Avatar: Fire and Ash were recognized at the ceremony in Los Angeles.

The 24th annual awards ceremony for the Visual Effects Society was held on February 25 at the Beverly Hilton in Southern California, and teams from Industrial Light & Magic have earned three wins.

Avatar: Fire and Ash won Outstanding Environment in a Photoreal Feature for the Bridgehead Industrial City. ILM’s winners included Gianluca Pizzaia, Steve Bevins, Dziga Kaiser, and Zsolt Máté.

ILM’s John O’Connell, Falk Boje, Hasan Ilhan, and Kevin George won for Outstanding Environment in an Episodic, Commercial, Game Cinematic, or Real-time Project for the Senate District in the episode “Welcome to the Rebellion” from Andor Season 2.

The feature film Sinners was recognized for Outstanding Supporting Visual Effects in a Photoreal Feature, and ILM’s Nick Marshall joined fellow winners Michael Ralla, James Alexander, Espen Nordahl, and Donnie Dean.

Congratulations to all of our ILM VES Awards winners, as well as to our Lucasfilm colleagues, who also took home the win for Outstanding Special (Practical) Effects in a Photoreal Project for their work on Andor.
